Like freecolor products, all CQ Imaging products meet the DIN 33870 international manufacturing standard for printer cartridges. This guarantees that you use only quality products in your printing devices. Since CQ Imaging products are optimized for text printing, they can be offered at a lower price than freecolor products.

Requirements and tests for the remanufacture of used toner modules, electrophotographic printers, copiers and fax machines.

The standard
This standard describes how used toner modules are to be remanufactured and refilled with new toner. This is followed by extensive functionality tests and inspections to ensure optimum print quality and trouble-free operation.

Excerpt from the contents of the DIN 33870 standard :

• Every toner undergoes the AMES Test (test for mutagenic substances)
• A safety data sheet must be provided for every type of toner module
• Long term test (under prescribed climatic conditions) for every toner module
• Packaging and storage requirements
• All wearing parts must be replaced
The lifetime of every type of module is monitored
