K+U Printware also provides a guarantee against freecolor products developing any material or manufacturing defects during their entire lifetime. We do point out, however, that ink and toner cartridges in particular have a limited storage life. The product's recommended storage limit can be found on the package. If no date is named on the package, the official legal warranty period of two years applies.

K+U Printware GmbH is a certified company for printing supplies according to DIN EN ISO 9001: 2000. K+U operates a quality management system which specifies the compatibility of all new articles with the corresponding OEM articles and demands consistent high quality. First of all, the empty cartridges are dismantled into single components and thoroughly cleaned. During this process, all parts critical to print quality are replaced with new parts. After this the cartridges are filled, assembled and undergo an exhaustive testing process. In addition to this, ongoing long-term printing tests are conducted for proof of yield and lifetime.

In the unlikely event of a toner or ink cartridge damaging the printer, K+U Printware will repair the damaged device free of charge in conformance with product liability laws. Clear evidence must be produced to show that the use of a

K+U cartridge was the direct cause of the damage. In order to clarify the exact cause, following items are required as evidence:

1. Cartridge causing the defect

2. Customer service repair report

3. Damaged parts which had to be replaced in the course of repair work.

This warranty does not apply with normal wear or in the case of damage caused by improper use, misuse, tampering, negligence or accident.
